18-Dec-02 Script Critique by Jeff Povey

Every writer remembers their first draft of their first script. Jeff Povey's was given a lashing by a script editor and 70 pages had to be axed. Now it was my turn, and Jeff Povey refused to compromise on constructive criticism. Click here to see my first script together with Jeff's feedback.

30-Jun-02 Stills From Settlement

These stills are taken from the footage captured at the Settlement. The theatrical group, The Settlement Players allowed us to work with them to get some experience filming real actors. Click here to see the results.

23-May-02 Filters Test

These pictures were snapped up during my visit to Optex Internation in New Barnet. I tried out a few of the filters that supposedly make the image capture approach the look of film. Overall I thought the Low Contrast was the best, and 90% of people I showed agreed with me. I won't be purchasing any of these though. David Lynch had tried and tested the filters approach to solve the film look problem, and he has had success with ND (neutral Density) filters. Anyway, you can click here to check out my findings.

07-Apr-02 FilmFX Stills

These aren't that useful, but they give some indication of what FilmFX does. It's a plug in for Adobe Premiere that allegedly makes video footage look more like it originated on 35 or 16mm film. Click here to view and decide for yourself.
